Why we exist
Career in SaaS sales was started to help people get into SaaS/Tech Sales and change the stigma of a sales career path. Often Sales is overlooked as a Career path in Australia, yet it is the most vital skill for any corporate or leadership role, no matter if you want to be a professional Salesperson, Lawyer, CEO, Doctor, Physio or Barista, everyone has to sell. Beyond the life skills of sales, working as a salesperson in SaaS is fun, data-driven, competitive, incredibly analytical, and provides opportunities for insane earnings with the potential to work anywhere.

How Sean got started in Sales
My (Sean’s) personal sales career started in Cycling, selling $1000-$13,000 bikes straight out of high school, I quickly learned the art of selling, customer service, and the importance of relationships and follow-ups. I moved into tech when I started my second Tech company www.mymint.app making $100k+ in pre-product sales to large aged care providers. Since then I have loved sales and helping people sell and have grown 3 SaaS companies from 0-$150k in revenue and worked with 30+ startups teaching them how to sell and hire salespeople.

  • Recipeze is food tech company helping ‘foodies’ make recurring income off their recipes. I was a founding member and helped take Recipeze to a $250k seed round.

  • Mint is an Aged care communication and feedback tool keeping families connected and informed. Mint was developed for my own family and used by 4000+ people across Aus. Mint was where I cut my teeth in sales and achieved
    -$150k pre-product sales
    -Developed a mobile first product
    -Raised Capital from Startmarte and Blackbird VC
    -Built and scaled a team of 5

    Taking a new product to market is one of the greatest challenges for a salesperson and I am grateful to have achieved these outcomes.

  • I joined Weploy in 2021 after my company Mint had challenges during the Covid market. My role initially at Weploy was as an Account Executive where I was responsible for selling new software in Australia.

    Soon after joining I was in charge of leading new products to market leveraging personalized sales approaches, deep customer research, and highly effective training and upskilling for our sales teams.

    -Built a go-to-market team from 1-5
    -Spoke to 1000+ Aussie SMBs
    -Designed & implementing a sales/onboarding infrastructure
    -Delivering the first 25 amazing customers to neat, Weploy
    -Doubled YoY client base in Q1 2022 (hard launch)
    -Delivered first 25 customers and ARR of 100K+ in first 6 months of a hard launch

  • In August 2022 I launched Sell Anything and Career in SaaS sales to help more people learn to sell. I have worked with 30+ businesses and 5+ job seekers on sales. Our largest client deal won is $122k from a $15k investment and have had 7 students land sales jobs in range of $65k-$110k Salaries.
